Like what you read? Share this post on social media. You’re not in it alone! Learn and grow together. Group therapy is a dynamic approach to self-discovery and emotional healing. Instead of just you and your therapist, you get to engage with other people in the group effort aimed at emotional honesty and empathic listening. Due to the confidentiality of the group, you have more freedom to express yourself than you might in your “real” relationships. What you can learn about yourself and others through authentic communication is deeply transformational. Improved interpersonal relationships, improved self-confidence, assertiveness, and the reduction of shame, depression and anxiety are some of the benefits of group therapy. This group meets weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. The location will be at my Encino office. The group is limited to 8 participants. The fee for the group is $50 per session. Pre-group consultation sessions are required before participation. As a Certified Group Psychotherapist, I have extensive experience working with and participating in groups. I create an environment for individuals to do their inner work. Inner work is the exploration of your thoughts and feelings and communicating those thoughts and feelings with others. Although group members may have different challenges in their lives such as depression, anxiety, or relationship struggles, the vehicle of learning and change is the same: the opportunity to let the inner world of emotions and beliefs out into the external world of the group so that you can learn from them.
